Research Interests

  • Analysis the MMS satellite data to investigate the response of dayside magnetopause to interplanetary shock.

  • Investigate the whistler wave response to IP shock based on Van Allen Probe, THEMIS and Cluster observations.

  • Investigate the EMIC wave behaviors to IP shocks based on Van Allen Probe and low altitude POSE satellite observations.

  • Build up empirical models of ring current quantities based on THEMIS and Van Allen Probe data to investigate the composition and energy variations of different ion species under geomagnetic quiet time and storm time.

  • Analysis anisotropic pressure and build up the empirical model based on THEMIS and Van Allen Probe satellites data under different geomagnetic activities.

  • Using the 2-D anisotropic pressure model to build up a 3D force-balanced magnetic field model in the inner magnetosphere.
