I am currently involved in the following projects in UCLA and likely
continue to work on them in the forthcoming
years:
(1) The role of snow albedo
feedback in climate change. In collaboration with Alex Hall and David
Neelin in UCLA, and Chris bletcher and in .
(2) Nature climate variability and
climate change in the Southern Ocean. In collaboration with Alex Hall
in UCLA and Suki Manabe in GFDL, NOAA.
(3) Assessing simulations of sea
ice albedo feedback in the Arctic. In collaboration with Alex Hall in
UCLA.
(4) Simulating regional climate
system of the Southern California Bight by coupling WRF (Weather,
Research and Forecast Model) to Regional Ocean Modelling System (ROMS).
In collaboration with Alex Hall and James McWilliams in UCLA and
Gretchen in University of South Dekota. The coupled models are likely
the basis of regional climate modeling in Southeast Pacific, the core
area of VOCALS project.
