README FOR TD_MODEL

THIS DIRECTORY CONTAINS CODE TO RUN AND ANALYZE
RESULTS OF A DIFFUSION MODEL WITH A TIME-VARYING
DIFFUSION COEFFICIENT

/src_code: directory that contains 2 scripts to run the model
TD_params.py : set up parameters of the model
TD_main.py   : calls TD_params.py and runs the model and saves output in NETCDF form


TO RUN THE MODEL SIMPLY CALL
>> sh run_TD.sh
FROM A COMMAND LINE WHILE IN THE CURRENT DIRECTORY (\TD_MODEL_PYCLASS)
THE BASH SCRIPT IS JUST USED TO SHOW YOU CAN USE THEM TO CALL PYTHON
EXECUTABLES (REALLY YOU COULD JUST CALL >> python src_code/TD_main.py
FROM THE DIRECTORY)

THE MODEL WILL RUN AND CREATE A DIRECTORY /nc_files WHERE THE OUTPUT IS STORED

/analysis_code
TD_snaps_plot.py : analysis script that creates and saves snapshots of model output in
                    time (essentially to make a movie)
                    
TD_zt_plot.py : analysis script that plots and saves a figure of the (z,t) evolution
                of various fileds 
                
custom_cmap.py : module to create custom colormaps from an array of RGB values
